Saturday’s Pride in London was truly one of those days that will stay with us for a very long time.
From the moment we arrived, there was an incredible atmosphere across the city. The streets were packed with people waving flags, cheering, clapping, dancing and showing their support for the LGBTQ+ community. Everywhere we looked there were smiles, messages of solidarity and a genuine sense of love and belonging.
As members of Trans Radio UK, we were proud to be part of such an important event. Pride has always been about visibility, community and standing together, but this year felt especially powerful. In a time when many transgender people face uncertainty and challenges, seeing thousands upon thousands of people come out to celebrate diversity and inclusion was both uplifting and reassuring.
The response we received from the crowds throughout the march was overwhelming. People waved at us, cheered us on, shouted messages of support and thanked us for the work that TransRadioUK does. Those moments meant more than we can put into words.
As we reached the end of the march, emotions began to set in. After hours of walking through streets filled with encouragement and positivity, many of us found ourselves reflecting on just how much support exists for our community. It was impossible not to feel moved.
There was a real sense that we were part of something bigger than ourselves—a community united by respect, acceptance and hope. The cheers from the crowd, the smiles from complete strangers and the feeling of standing together as one left a lasting impression on all of us.
To everyone who waved, cheered, took photos, shared kind words or simply stood with us along the route: thank you. Your support matters. You reminded us that visibility is powerful, that community is strong, and that love will always be louder than hate.
London Pride 2026 was a celebration, a protest, and a reminder that our community continues to shine brightly.London Pride may be over for another year, but the journey continues.
We’ll see you again very soon at Trans Pride, where we’ll once again come together to celebrate our community, our resilience and our right to be seen, heard and valued.
