Andrea is a proud Scottish trans woman who, after living south of the border for over 40 years, has returned to her roots in Scotland – right where she feels most at home. A seasoned broadcaster, Andrea has been presenting on Trans Radio UK since 2020 and also spent 18 months on air with local community station Tone FM.

You can hear Andrea across the week with three regular shows:

• Hint of the Highlands – Mondays, 5–6pm

• Celtic Road Trip – Tuesdays, 5–6pm

• From Wigan to Motown – Saturdays, 2–4pm

She also co-hosts The Alternative In Conversation Show alongside Amanda Jayne on the first Thursday of each month from 8–9pm.

Passionate about human rights – particularly trans rights – Andrea is a dedicated activist, often travelling to support Prides and protests across the UK. An avid reader and researcher, she brings depth and purpose to everything she does.

Since retiring from the Civil Service, Andrea has made it her mission to attend as many live gigs as possible and to champion independent and LGBTQ+ artists whenever she can. With a love for all genres of music and a voice for justice, Andrea brings knowledge, warmth, and real heart to the airwaves.
