After receiving a bachelors degree in media, produced and presented many informative programmes in the eighties for the BBC and ILR, she moved to the Canaries in the nineties, where she presented an award winning mid-morning popular radio show.
Amanda was born Intersex (DSD) with XX chromosomes, which is a biological condition which happens with one in two million births around the world.
Initially being brought up as a boy, then in puberty being informed by the NHS she was actually a girl, makes her fully aware of the complications and social ridicule some may have too endure, which makes her determination to help and support the Trans community more essential and significant.
