Vikki Kinsella is an LGBTQ DJ hailing from the Liverpool area; “which to most would make me a Scouser” she says, “I’ll let you decide whether your wheel trims on your car are safe, or not!
But that does give me a wickedly sarcastic sense of humour and I love a good practical joke, or two”. Musically, she started noticeably young, having her first electronic keyboard at age nine, and her first home computer at age 11. Combining the two was easy and allowed her to embark on study for one of the first HND certificates in Rock & Popular Music; back in the early 90’s. It is very unfortunate that she did not complete the course. However, the reasons for that were purely financial; work beckoned, and we all must eat.The l IT career that followed on from that, turned out to be extremely successful.
However, Fast Forward 15 years and, during Male to Female Transition in 2017-2023, Vikki reignited her musical interests. Working in Clubs, Bars and Pubs as a DJ; as well as previous stint here, at Trans Radio UK. Now she’s back. Her regular slot is a one hour DriveTime show on a Wednesday, from 5-6 pm and she’ll be popping up across the schedule here and there, so keep an eye out for her when she’s on. You won’t be disappointed.

I was born and raised in Manchester, where I gained my love of The Blues by regularly attending the legendary “Band On The Wall”. I gained her love of classic soul thanks to her sister letting her have her old Stax and Motown records.
