Mr. Brake Down, a transgender man with a penchant for performance, seamlessly blends his love for literature, horror, and the stage into his captivating drag king persona.
By day, he delves into the world of horror writing, poetry, novels and plays, but by night, adorned in eyeliner and sequins, he takes the stage to enchant audiences with his sultry singing and diverse array of drag looks. Brake’s talents span a multitude of disciplines, from live singing and comedy to character acting and hosting.
He is the driving force behind the Upside Down Cabaret, Chester’s premier queer variety show held monthly at the Live Rooms, and one of the fearsome hosts of Chester’s hilarious Dead Good Ghost Tour.
He has also graced stages at Pride events, the Edinburgh Fringe, and theatres across the country, with a new shift into television for 2025 as one of Channel 4’s new faces on ‘Narrow Escapes’, a programme about unusual people who live on the canals and waterways of the UK.
